Grease The story goes back to February 1971 when two young actors out of work, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, inspired by his days in high school students to create a performance at an experimental theater in Chicago.
The title suggests an evocation of the lifestyle of young Americans of the late fifties, and played with the homonym of the word "grease", which in English means both "Hair gel" and "fat" (referring to the fast-food meal that started gaining popularity in the United States at the time). Two key elements of youth culture that portrays the show with an aesthetic and a very elegant music.
